Program Development for Non-Profits

In conjunction with my profession as a Marriage Family Therapist, I have helped develop, fund and launch many programs the past twenty-five years. I worked for 13 years as the Director of Program Planning/Director of Development with The Arc of San Francisco, where I developed programs in tandem with the Golden Gate Regional Center and foundations such as The California Endowment. I was a Social Service Planner and Consultant for the Tenant and Owners Development Corporation, an agency that provides affordable housing and related support services to low-income persons, worked in a variety of capacities with the San Francisco Child Abuse Center/TalkLine Family Support Center and recently developed concepts and plans for the development of programs for United Cerebral Palsy of the Gold Gate. I am currently working as the Clinical Director for Grateful Heart Holistic Therapy Center, where I help develop programs and initiatives for our agency. Prior to coming to Grateful Heart, I worked as the Executive Director of Stage Door Conservatory, developing and initiating two new theater arts programs for youth and heading the organization’s expansion from a $60,000 to a $200,000 agency.

I have extensive experience overseeing, managing and assisting a wide variety of community-based agencies, including in designing and conducting needs assessments and program evaluations and developing and orchestrating complex communication programs. I have also worked with the members of numerous Boards and sought and been awarded significant funding revenue through the auspices of state and federal funding agencies such as The Department of Housing and Urban Affairs, The San Francisco Department of Health and Human Services, California State Department of Mental Health, United States Department of Education, State Council of Developmental Disabilities and other comparable entities.

With program development as one of my professional loves, I sometimes accept roles within non-profit organizations to help them develop new programs. If you are seeking a seasoned program development professional, please contact me to discuss your project.
